About Wreckship

Mapping the stories beneath the surface

Wreckship is an independent global database and interactive map of shipwrecks and major maritime incidents.

Our goal is to make maritime history easier to explore. We bring together vessel records, dates, locations, casualty information, incident summaries, and source links in one visual, searchable experience.

From historic warships and famous passenger vessels to modern maritime disasters and environmental incidents, Wreckship helps curious explorers, students, researchers, divers, journalists, and history enthusiasts discover the stories connected to the world’s waters.

What you can do on Wreckship

Our approach to data

Maritime records can be incomplete, disputed, or described differently across sources. We work to present information as accurately as possible, but some entries may contain estimated dates, uncertain locations, alternate vessel names, or incomplete casualty figures.

Wreckship is continuously improving. If you find an error, have a reliable source, or would like to suggest a correction, please contact us at eshtiaqahmad27@gmail.com.

Important note

Wreckship is intended for educational, historical, and research purposes. It is not a navigation service, a diving safety service, or an official maritime authority. Do not rely on this website for navigation, operational, legal, safety, or emergency decisions.
